F-22s leave Holloman Air Force Base

HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. (KRQE) – The F-22’s are officially gone from Holloman Air Force Base.

Four of the raptors performed their final tactical mission over the Tularosa Basin on Thursday and landed at the base.

Community members came out to bid them farewell.

The F-22 squadrons have been stationed at Holloman since 2008 but are relocating to Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

They will be replaced by two F-16 training squadrons which will arrive in April.
