2 dogs shot, tied to trees

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Two more dogs have been found shot to death and tied to trees in Santa Fe County.

The two pit bulls were found Thursday morning shot and chained to a tree on a road near Galisteo, south of Santa Fe.

Investigators say they’ve identified the owners. One of them says his dog has been missing for days.

This comes after a string of dog shootings in the La Cienega area. At least four dogs have been found shot there.

Sheriff’s investigators are still trying to identify their owners.

Either way, they’re working hard to find those responsible, however, they don’t think the cases are connected.

Animal Protection of New Mexico is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest.
