Mark’s Thursday Evening Forecast

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Our coldest morning in weeks will set up over the area to start the day on Friday. Lows will bottom out in the mid-20s in the metro area. In the northern mountains, temps will start in the single digits before warming nicely by the afternoon. Highs in the metro will once again be above average in the high 50s with mostly sunny skies.

The weekend looks mild and dry as well. Highs will continue to climb into the mid-60s with no chance of precipitation in sight. We are currently in our driest start to the year since 2011. That might not seem like a big deal, but in 2011, we were in the thick of a very strong La Nina. So being this dry does not bode well for the rest of winter. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
