Cops search ex-con’s storage unit, file new charge

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The ex-con arrested the day after he sued two fired APD cops for police brutality could be in a lot more trouble.

Nicholas Blume was arrested last Wednesday on a federal charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm, a loaded glock.

The day before, he sued the officers who were caught on tape hitting and kicking him while he was down – an arrest that cost the officers their jobs.

Now a search warrant shows ATF agents searched Blume’s storage unit off I-25, believing he may have even more guns there.

They’re not saying yet what they found, but he’s now been hit with a new charge of transporting firearms.
