Health alert issued due to wind, dust

Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A health alert has been issued Wednesday by the Environmental Health Department’s Air Quality Program for those with respiratory conditions.

High winds and blowing dust expected in the state can contribute to pollution. Those with asthma, chronic bronchitis and other respiratory and heart diseases are encouraged to limit outdoor activity, according to the health department.

The department also suggests schools offer indoor activities for children to prevent them from getting sick.
