White Sands reopens for visitors

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. (KRQE) – The White Sands National Monument reopened Monday.

It had been closed since Feb. 7 when an unmanned drone crashed there.

Holloman officials said much of the debris fell in a dunes area that’s usually open to the public.

White Sands brings in an average of 900 visitors a day.
