ALBUQUERQUE, NM (KRQE) -A shooting in the South Valley sent one man to the hospital this afternoon.

Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a home on Linda Pl. SW, near Blake Rd. and Coors Blvd.  Neighbors say they heard gun shots before a vehicle sped off, then deputies arrived.

Deputies will only say one man was shot, but will not give specifics.

“I talked to a couple of the police officers and they said someone was shot in the face,” said neighbor Samuel Lechuga.

Deputies say the man’s injuries are non-life threatening and his name has not been released.

So far there is no word a suspect or motive.
