Ordinances would ban e-cigs from public places

E-cigs banned for SF minors, public places

SANTA FE (KRQE) – E-cigarettes are being targeted again, this time in Santa Fe.

On Wednesday, the City Council approved two new ordinances which would outlaw the sale of e-cigarettes to minors as well as ban them from bars, restaurants and other public places.

Smoking of regular cigarettes and cigars is already banned in public places there.

More than a dozen people spoke out against the ban saying e-cigarette vapors are very different from regular cigarettes. Others testified there’s no proof it isn’t dangerous.
