Mark’s Thursday Evening Forecast

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) No records for precipitation, but records will fall this weekend. Those records will be of the temperature variety. Across the state, we should set record highs Saturday and possibly Sunday. In the metro, our record for the date is 70°, while the forecast high is 71°. With exception, the whole state has a chance at shattering records.

Along with the heat, we will also have to deal with very gusty winds especially over eastern New Mexico. This will send fire danger soaring. There are fire weather watches posted for the Albuquerque metro area and northeast New Mexico through Sunday.

So when might another storm come in? Well, here it is on the models: Friday next week!
