Local agencies team up with ASPCA

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque Animal Welfare, Animal Humane New Mexico and the ASPCA are teaming up to help save the lives of homeless pets.

The partnership will help both local agencies. The ASPCA’s investment will also help reduce euthanasia, add free spay and neutering programs for chihuahua and pit bulls, and increase pet adoptions to help ease overcrowding.

Last year, about 27,000 homeless animals entered the local shelters.
