2 dumped dogs up for adoption

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A pair of puppies have a new leash on life.

In December, seven puppies were found inside a plastic grocery bag, dumped along a South Valley ditch bank.

They were less than 12 hours old and only two survived.

They were at Tuesday night’s Bernalillo County Commission meeting and the brother and sister are ready for adoption.

Their names are Rain and Bow.

Animal Protection of New Mexico is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever dumped the litter.
