Pro’s Ranch sold, will stay open

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The financially-troubled grocery chain Pro’s Ranch Markets has been sold.

Two retailers in southern California have reached a $55 million deal to buy the company, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection last May.

The family-owned chain is popular with Latino customers and has 11 stores in the southwest, including one in Albuquerque and one in Las Cruces.
