Harvard student from ABQ killed in crash

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A 20-year-old Harvard student from Albuquerque has been killed in a car crash in New Jersey.

Angela Matthew was in a minivan carrying the Harvard mock trial team home from a competition in Virginia when police say it veered out of control on the New Jersey Turnpike shortly after midnight, hit a guard rail and was hit by a semi.

Matthew was thrown out of the van and killed.

She was a graduate of Albuquerque Academy and was majoring in neurobiology at Harvard and the president of the Harvard science club for girls.

Three other students were hurt in the crash but their injuries were not serious.
