Charges in murder case bumped up

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – A suspect in a shooting in Roswell is now facing murder charges.

Leroy Acosta, 31, is accused of shooting Helen Joy Padilla last November. She died late last month.

Now the district attorney’s office has bumped up his charges.
