FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – A Farmington baby is in state custody and his parents are facing abuse charges after the child was found unresponsive.
Officers found the baby in a Farmington motel after a 911 caller said a couple was in the lobby arguing that the 7-month-old would not wake up.
Although details on what happened have not been released, the child’s father, 22-year-old Shanevan Beyale, is facing child rape and abuse charges.
The boy’s mother, Keasha Morales, is charged with child abuse.
The boy is now in CYFD custody and is said to be doing well.
