Suspected ambulance hijackers face judge

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The duo accused of hijacking an ambulance then taking it for a joy ride faced a judge today.

Alisa Quam and Mike Schildt are charged with stealing a car and kidnapping.

Police say the two hopped into this superior ambulance in Albuquerque Saturday morning.

The ambulance worker was in the back sleeping.

According to a criminal complaint Schildt was the driver and even saw the ambulance worker but kept driving.

The worker hopped out when the ambulance slowed down at an intersection.

The alleged stunt will cost them a lot of money to get out of jail.

Today a judge told the duo they cannot have any contact with each other. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
