John’s Friday Afternoon Forecast

This week’s active weather wraps up today with lingering snow over the Northern Mountains. Winter Weather Advisories will remain up over the northern and west central terrain through the afternoon. The snow over the Northern Mountains will end tonight. The weekend will feature much drier and warmer weather. Albuquerque returns to the 50s for afternoon highs. The southeast will warm to the upper 60s to near 70° by Sunday.

The next storm moves in late Monday and into Tuesday. West and east slopes will see decent snowfall as a cold front will be pushing in from the east at the same time. Light snow at the lower elevations will be possible as well. Temperatures will drop for the start of the workweek.

After the storm clears during the day Tuesday, the weather will go quiet again for the rest of next week.
