ABQ panhandler struck by vehicle

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – On Thursday afternoon, police say a panhandler was struck by a vehicle at 111 Coors Boulevard Northwest. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Daren DeAguero of APD, the driver of the vehicle said the panhandler wouldn’t move from in front of his vehicle. The driver told police he honked and yelled at the man, then struck him with the vehicle.

Police say one person is in custody.
