Bakery donates over $3,000 to The Storehouse

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – One bakery is making a huge difference Wednesday for a local food pantry.

The Pueblo Harvest Cafe and Bakery at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center donated $3,300 to The Storehouse Wednesday morning

The donation was made possible by the Dollar a Diner campaign.

For every lunch or dinner bough at the cafe, the diner donated one dollar.

“We really appreciate all of the food donations and clothing donations we receive but it’s really important to get cash because we have to do things like pay our drivers and put gas in our trucks and build freezers and do kind of the basic things so cash donations are really important to us,” Nina Johnson, CEO of The Storehouse said.

The Storehouse is one of New Mexico’s largest food pantry’s and helps the working poor.
