ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The focus continues to be on the physical evidence in the Ronald Santiago trial.
He’s on trial for the murders of Greg and Bernadette Ohlemacher, who were shot to death in their northwest Albuquerque home in 2005.
On Tuesday, the officers who investigated the crime were back on the stand talking about the scene.
One testified that it appeared Greg had struggled with someone and was on his knees when he was shot.
He says Bernadette was holding a towel on her way out of the shower and was bent over when she was shot.
The officer testified that he believed she had bent over in the dark to figure out who was involved in the struggle or she was ducking.
The trial is expected to last several more weeks.
