After an active night of snowfall, the weather is starting to quiet down as our storm departs. Some lingering snow will continue over the higher terrain through the afternoon. The cold front that helped dump snow over the east slopes will continue to push across the state through Wednesday. Much colder air will move in with it, especially east.
A weak disturbance will cross the north late Wednesday and early Thursday. Despite it not being a strong storm, the cold air and moisture in place behind the front will help add a few more inches of snow to the Northern Mountains.
A bigger storm comes in quickly behind that for Friday and early Saturday. This storm will drop farther south and cross the center of the state. More snow is expected over the higher terrain and it’s possible that even Albuquerque will see another inch or two!
