Lobos, Aggies face off in blood drive

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The UNM Lobos are facing off with the New Mexico State Aggies, but not on the field or even on the court.

This time, it’s in a chair.

The Aggies have challenged the Lobos to see who could donate the most blood in the battle of I-25 Blood Drive.

“We know that there’s a lot of competitive spirit between the Lobos and the Aggies and we’re hoping that this will be a huge success like it’s been down south,” said donor recruiter representative Al Salazer.

Everyone who donates blood will be entered in a drawing to win tickets to the Mountain West Championship men’s basketball quarterfinals game March 13.

The event is happening at UNM’s sub ballroom through the end of the week. NMSU held their own blood drive in Las Cruces on Jan. 21.

A winner will be declared when the final counts are in.
