ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man arrested in a 30-year-old cold case has been booked into the Metropolitan Detention Center.
Ramon Astorga Ramirez, 47, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Paul Dubose in Albuquerque in 1986.
APD says Ramirez shot him outside an apartment complex on Dallas Southeast after the two exchanged words in the parking lot.
Ramirez was extradited to New Mexico from Texas late Thursday night.
APD reopened the case last year after the victim’s brother called police asking for a status on the case.
A detective ran prints from the case and came up with a match to Ramirez.
