Lawmakers push for tougher DWI laws

SANTA FE (KRQE) – State lawmakers are pushing for tougher laws to stop repeat drunk drivers.

Democrat Liz Thomson is backing a bill that would make DWI offenders keep their ignition interlocks even longer than a year if the device detects they’ve been drinking.
