ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The finger pointing in the Ronald Santiago murder trial turned back to him Thursday.
Santiago, a former mortgage loan processor is on trial for the murders of his clients Greg and Bernadette Ohlemacher in 2005.
On Thursday, a detective testified that four bullet casings were found in the Ohlemancher home. The same type of casing was found in Santiago’s gym back in his home.
A forensics expert took the stand and testified they came from the same lot and were fired from the same gun.
There was also some talk of the victim’s daughter, Renee, who the defense is trying to paint as the killer.
The detective testified that no gunpowder was found on her, or her clothes.
