Mark’s Wednesday Evening Forecast

A deep and wet Pacific flow will feed moisture into the mountain west over the next three to five days. This moisture will combine with a few weather disturbances to produce heavy mountain snow for northern New Mexico and SW Colorado. Meanwhile, in central and southern NM, our big weather maker will be very gusty winds and soaring temps through Friday before a cool down over the weekend.

Right now 12″+ looks very possible for the northern mountain resorts. If we are going to see rain in the metro area, that will likely fall over the weekend. Winds will gust as high as 60mph over he east both Thursday and Friday. A few models look very impressive through Friday.

NAM

This doesn’t even take Sat-Sun snow into account. This could be a bit overdone but even so it should be a snowy weekend up north.
