Police: Suspect shot man over horse dispute

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Bernalillo county sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in a weekend shooting that started as an argument over a horse.

Deputies responded to the area of 114th Street and Central on Saturday evening where they found Eduardo Bracamonte, 52, shot in the lower abdomen. He remains hospitalized.

Deputies are now looking for 69-year-old Luis Roybal.

Witnesses told authorities that Roybal and Bracamonte had been fighting about the price of a horse when the shooting happened.
