EDDY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Forty people have been arrested in southeastern New Mexico as part of a major drug ring bust.
The suspects are from Eddy, Chaves and Lincoln counties, and police say they helped move meth from Mexico into southeastern New Mexico along with several other drugs.
During the bust, authorities also found 24 guns, and tens of thousands of dollars worth of cash along with the drugs.
Many of those arrested are Mexican nationals. The suspected ringleader, also a Mexican national, was arrested in October.
