FORT COLLINS, CO (KRQE) – Despite trailing by as many as 7 points, the Lobos pull out a 68-66 win over CSU at Moby Arena. Big man Alex Kirk sat out with what’s being declared as “day-to-day foot injury,” so without Kirk in the line up the guards had to pick up the slack. Kendall Williams led the Lobos in scoring with 23 points. Williams tied the game at 63 with one of his five three-pointers meanwhile Hugh Greenwood sank a 3-pointer to give New Mexico a 66-64 lead. Despite Williams missing 2 of the final 4 free throws of the game, Colorado State’s Daniel Bejarano missed a game-tying shot to tie it allowing the Lobos to escape with a 2-point victory.
The Lobos have won 4 of the last 6 meetings at Moby Arena, all of the games have been decided by single digits
