Hugs helping in the classroom

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Hugs are helping to give some school kids some much needed things for the classroom.

Tim Harris, the owner of restaurant “Tim’s Place” is well known for his hugs and he is making a difference.

He teams up every year with both the Bernalillo County and Albuquerque Fire Department’s random acts of kindness to hold a hug-a-thon.

Last year he gave out more than one-thousand hugs… and raised around $53-hundred-dollars.

Tim is hoping to raise 10-thousand-dollars this year for his annual 4-day hug-a-thon charity.

Tomorrow is his last day where he hopes to finish the day meeting his goal of 2-thousand hugs.
