High school truancy rates

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Most high school students miss a few days of school here or there but according to a state report, some district’s truancy rates are a lot worse than others.

Bernalillo Public Schools and Cuba Independent Schools are some of the worst, with more than half of high school students considered habitually absent.

Albuquerque Public Schools’ rates are closer to the state average of about 20% of high school students missing more than 10 days of school.
