An unusual threat prompted a Santa Fe school to take shelter in place Friday morning.
A 23-year-old man told a friend that he wanted to dress up like a clown, barge into classrooms at Gonzales Elementary and take pictures of scared students’ reactions.
The man’s friend notified the principal and the students were asked to take shelter in place for a short time while police were notified.
Police say the man is now undergoing a mental evaluation.
He’s not facing any charges at this point.
