Digital Billboards possible rule changes

State officials are considering allowing digital billboards along the interstates.

The State Transportations Commission will meet Thursday to consider rule changes which would make the billboards legal. Right now they’re not allowed along federal routes.

Critics say the signs are too bright and create light pollution, but outdoor advertisers are starting to transition to the new billboards.
