SAN CRISTOBAL, N.M. (KRQE) – A West Virginia fugitive facing trial for selling dangerous drugs out of stores he managed is arrested in New Mexico.

U.S. marshals say they’ve been on the search for 58 year-old John Skruck since he failed to appear for trial in May of last year.

They say deputies in New Mexico arrested him yesterday in San Cristobal.

Skruck is scheduled to appear before a federal magistrate on Monday.

According to prosecutors, Skruck was a general manager of two stores that distributed bath salts. The stores’ owner as well as two other people were convicted and sentenced last year.
