2 escape South Valley house fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A home was completely destroyed by a fire Thursday morning in Albuquerque’s South Valley.

Two elderly residents managed to get out in time, but one man did have to be transported to the hospital to be checked out for cardiac issues

Officials are not certain what started the blaze but they say it may have started outside the home in some grass and spread to the house.

When crews arrived the home was completely engulfed by flames.
