KRQE News 13 is an affiliate of the CBS Television Network allowing us to offer exciting first-run CBS network television programs. CBS programs air on KRQE seven nights a week. KRQE News 13 is one of many CBS affiliates and broadcasts in the Digital or High Definition Format.
Every day, KRQE News 13 provides New Mexico with several newscasts. The morning show runs from 4:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. daily and weekday newscasts starting and noon continue at 4:00 p.m., 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Internships at KRQE-TV are for full-time Junior and Senior in 2 – 4 year community colleges and/or universities. Interns receive college credit and are without financial compensation. KRQE-TV allows one-full-semester internship per student. The minimum hours worked is 10 weeks, 15 hours per week. KRQE News 13 is a full power, 24-hour, VHF stereo television station. KRQE News 13 transmits from the 10,600 ft. crest of the Sandia Mountains with over 31,000 watts of maximum power. This is the maximum power allowed for the operation of Channel 13 at the height above average terrain. KRQE News 13 provides a primary television signal to much of northern and central New Mexico.
Signal and Translators
The station’s main signal extends beyond Santa Fe past Espanola to the north, over Grants to the west, to Socorro in the south and east past Las Vegas. Translators extend KRQE News 13′s coverage to Alamogordo, Artesia, Caballo, Carlsbad, Deming, Espanola, Farmington, Grants, Hatch, Hillsboro, Hobbs, Montoya, Raton, Roswell, Ruidoso, Portales, Silver City, Shiprock, Taos, Tohatchi, Truth or Consequences, Bayfield, Cortez, Durango, South Central Colorado and Eastern Arizona. KASA’s signal is delivered to Comcast Cable via fiber to insure the clearest and best possible signal to the local metro area via cable.
